A Pair of Reds & A Pair of Franks
To Ann and Jerry Fowler,
Hi, my name is Frank L. Nichols III. My parents and I stayed at
Pelican Perch last week and we had a great time there. I am including
some pics that we took while in POC.
My Father and I went out Cavallo Pass and turned left and fished
in the surf about a mile upshore from the pass. We broke off on several
fish and then we both caught a 41" red. My Fathers was 27.4 lbs. and
mine was 26.8 lbs. Silly luck to catch such big reds our first time in
POC.
We also caught some specs (trout) off Bill Day's reef in the back
bays. We caught all our fish on live croaker and the trout seemed to bite
around 9:00am.
I took some sunrise pictures the day after the huricane went onshore
in Kenedy county. The clouds really seemed to cooperate not to mention
the three pelicans.
My mother and my dog Jessie (a Golden Ret.) had a good time as well.
They both enjoyed taking walks to the beach and we all enjoyed sitting
on the deck in the evening.
I hope you enjoy the pics and you may display them on your Pelican
Perch website. Your reservation list may grow when folks see those
big reds we caught.
Thanks for letting us stay at Pelican Perch and we hope to return
real soon.
Regards, Frank L. Nichols III
